A fellow collector from Austria is seeking more information on the following knife from the USSR, which he has recently acquired for his collection. Apparently this type of knife was used by parachutists and navy divers. Can you help?

Dimensions:

Total length: ca. 23,2 cm
Blade lenght: ca. 13,2 cm
Scabbard length: ca. 14 cm
Blade width at base: ca. 2,1 cm
Blade width at narrowest point: ca. 1,2 cm

This is the answer i got.

It's a paratrooper shroud cutting knife.It came in a couple of different variation's.

Some more information.

This knife was intended as a "Стропорез" (Stroporez) or literally "Cord cutter"
A designation of this knife is unknown at this moment
It's believed that the one pictured below (on top) is an early variation.
